What Is God's Heart Toward You?
One’s heart is the place of their emotions,
likes and dislikes, and the principles that drive them. God Almighty has
a heart. It is written that God is grieved, angered, pities, and
purposes things; just to name a few. How God, in His heart, thinks of
you is very important, as you can well imagine.
God told ancient Israel, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end.” Notice the intent of God was peace and hope, “an expected
end.” After ancient Israel had rejected God over many generations and
national judgement had fallen upon them God’s heart had still not
changed, “As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death
of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye,
turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
So many imagine wrongly that God is out to get them when life is going
bad and favours them when things are going their way. God is not moody
and two-faced. “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over
all his works.” It is God that makes “his sun to rise on the evil and on
the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” God has
revealed His heart in His Word, the Holy Bible, and you can trust your
Creator’s heart towards you. Remember the hope and peace mentioned
above. We warmly invite you to come or call to hear more from the Word
of God. This is not all God has to say.
